  • Alert preferences and notification settings

How We Use Your Information

  • Monitor your registered plates against NYC parking violation databases and alert you when new tickets appear.
  • Automatically generate template-based dispute letters on your behalf.
  • Send email alerts when new tickets are detected.
  • Process and manage your subscription.

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our service.

How We Share Your Information

Acting as Your Agent

When you authorize AutoDismiss to contest a ticket on your behalf, we include your name, mailing address, license plate number, and relevant vehicle information in dispute correspondence submitted to the NYC Department of Finance.

Service Providers

We share data only as necessary with trusted providers who operate under strict data agreements:

  • Convex:Secure database hosting and real-time backend infrastructure
  • Resend:Transactional email delivery for ticket alerts
  • Vercel:Website hosting and edge delivery
  • NYC Open Data:Public parking violations API — no personal data sent, only plate lookups

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all traffic
  • Secure database storage with row-level access controls
  • Minimal data collection — we only store what we need
  • Restricted employee access to personal data

Data Retention

Active accounts: We retain your data while your account is active and your subscription is valid.

Canceled subscriptions: Data is retained for 12 months after cancellation to support any outstanding dispute correspondence.

Deleted accounts: You may request full account deletion at any time. We will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Ticket & letter records: Dispute letters and ticket records associated with your plates are retained for the duration of your account to support re-submission and audit needs.
