Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any AutoDismiss service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use our services.

2. Description of Services

AutoDismiss provides an annual membership that includes:

• Ticket Monitoring: Twice-weekly automated checks of the NYC parking violations database for citations issued to your registered license plate(s)
• Dispute Letter Generation: Automated drafting of contest letters on your behalf for eligible tickets
• Ticket Alerts: Email notifications when new citations are detected on your registered vehicle(s)

3. Agent Authorization

By subscribing to AutoDismiss, you explicitly authorize AutoDismiss to act as your authorized representative for the following purposes:

• Ticket monitoring: Query the NYC Open Data parking violations portal and related public city databases for citations associated with your registered vehicle(s)
• Dispute letters: Draft and submit written contest letters to the NYC Department of Finance and relevant adjudication bodies on your behalf for eligible violations
• Evidence handling: Receive, store, and present any documentation you provide — such as registration records, photographs, or proof of address — in support of your contests

Scope of authorization: You represent and warrant that you are the registered owner or authorized lessee of all vehicle(s) you register with AutoDismiss. This authorization permits AutoDismiss to identify itself as your authorized representative when communicating with the City of New York, the NYC Department of Finance, and related municipal agencies. Any responses or records received on your behalf will be made available through your account dashboard and email notifications.

4. Your Responsibilities

To remain eligible for service guarantees, you must:

• Maintain a complete and accurate account profile, including vehicle details, contact information, and current mailing address
• Promptly notify AutoDismiss of any changes to your registered vehicles, address, or contact information
• Provide requested documentation in a timely manner when asked to support a contest — earlier responses allow for stronger dispute submissions
• Ensure all information provided to AutoDismiss is truthful and up to date at the time any citation is issued

Important: Guarantee eligibility may be voided if your profile contains incomplete or inaccurate information at the time a citation is issued.

5. Service Guarantees and Limitations

Ticket Contest Service

AutoDismiss will automatically generate dispute letters for eligible tickets detected on your registered plate(s). You are responsible for monitoring your account dashboard for contest outcomes and responding to any requests from the City of New York that require your direct participation.

First Dismissal Guarantee

If AutoDismiss does not successfully contest at least one eligible non-camera ticket during your first membership year, you may request a full refund of your membership fee.

Coverage Limits

• Monitoring covers up to 2 active license plates per membership
• Current city coverage: New York City only
• Camera-issued violations, tickets outside NYC, or violations with missing or late-submitted documentation may not be eligible for automated dispute

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Best-Effort Basis

AutoDismiss provides all services on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee:

• Prevention of parking citations
• Dismissal of any specific ticket
• Accuracy of third-party city data or database availability
• Uninterrupted service or guaranteed delivery of email notifications, which are subject to third-party provider availability

Government Authority

The City of New York and its agencies retain final authority over all citation adjudication decisions. AutoDismiss has no control over and cannot guarantee the outcome of any contest, processing timelines, or decisions made by city adjudicators.

Maximum Liability

AutoDismiss's total liability to you under any circumstances is limited to the total membership fees you paid during the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Payment Terms

• Annual membership: $49/year per account
• Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each year at the then-current rate while your membership remains active
• Refunds: Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as provided under the First Dismissal Guarantee

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the close of your current billing period, and you will retain full access to AutoDismiss through the end of the paid term.

9. Data and Privacy

Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Changes to Terms

AutoDismiss reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes via the email address on file. Continued use of AutoDismiss following notice of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
